GENERAL CONTENT
Since the dawn of time, flutes have been made to enchant the world.
Linked by this adage and inspired by the richness of the color combinations offered by the meeting of these three families of flutes, the Trio of Three lignes has imagined an unusual and unprecedented repertoire at the crossroads of formal and popular music.
Steeped in the singularities of their style, the three soloists experiment with new territories of play by inviting themselves in turn to share their aesthetics. This plural conversation brings together distant spaces and temporalities and moves the lines.
The 3 Lignes project initiated by Isabelle Courroy is a great opportunity to meet the sounds of the 3 families of flutes, oblique, straight and transverse, but also to invite each other in the interpretation of the repertoires to which these flutes and their playing and sound emission techniques are intimately linked: music from the Balkans, the Western Middle Ages, India and also contemporary classical music. The question of phrasing then arises as the central element of this meeting: “Beauty is between the notes“.
The Master class “The Art of Phrasing at the Crossroads of Breaths” invites flutists from all walks of life to come and share this experience and reflection on the theme of phrasing, phrasings, element of primordial musical expression and emotion, so subtle.

FIRST DAY :
10am to 11am30 presentation

SECOND DAY :

CONDITION OF PARTICIPATION
- Participants : musicians already advanced and accepting to play the orality game.
- Commitment : Conjugation and dialogue of the aestetics dimensions and more individual stylistics expressions.
- Students Group (between 15 and 20) recorder player, flautist transverse and oblique working with us three, all age included.
- The musiciands bring their instrument of music (applications will be studied).
