BIOGRAPHIES

Claire Vivo & Dario Da Silva

Claire and Dario, a Franco-Argentinian dance couple, have been dancing and teaching together for over 20 years.

They met in the United States (in New York State), where they formed their duo as dancers and instructors. Their journey then led them to Barcelona, Spain, where they lived for three years before settling in the south of France 14 years ago, near Aix-en-Provence, where they founded their Argentine tango school, “Aix-en-Tango,” located in Éguilles.

Dario brings authenticity and deep roots to their tango through his Argentinian heritage, while Claire enriches their dance with modern influences drawn from modern jazz and flamenco. Together, they have created a unique style of tango that combines strength, softness, musicality, and a deep passion for the dance, which they share with enthusiasm.

Recognized on the international tango scene, Claire and Dario take part in major festivals and collaborate with many artists on stage. Teaching is not only a priority for them but also a true calling. Their classes evolve year after year, always adapting to the needs of each student. Over two decades of shared experience — shaped by travel, encounters, and constant research — have led them to develop a clear and accessible teaching method.

They are proud founders of the dance school Aix-en-Tango, where they teach year-round and host milongas, concerts, and various cultural events.

For them, tango is more than just a dance — it is a way of life. Their students and their school form a close-knit family where everyone plays an essential role.
